 AVIANCA AND TACA TRANSPORT MORE THAN SEVEN MILLION PASSENGERS IN Q1 2012

During Q1 2012, Avianca, Taca and subsidiaries transported a total of 7,246,352 passengers on their network of national and international routes. This is a 15.2% increase on the number of passengers transported in the same period in 2011, when the figure was 6,289,246 passengers. The occupancy factor in the January to April 2012 period stood at 78.4%.

During April, Avianca and Taca recorded a 12.9% jump in passenger numbers, from 1,546,271 in April 2011 to 1,745,260 in April 2012.

Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
Between January and April 2012, Avianca, Taca and subsidiaries transported 4,118,509 passengers on routes within Colombia, Peru and Ecuador, a 22.7% year-on-year growth of passenger numbers in these markets. During the same period in 2011 a total of 3,357,127 passengers were transported.

In April, the subsidiaries of AviancaTaca Holding S.A. recorded a 20.2% increase in the number of passengers transported in these domestic markets, transporting 1,003,695 passengers, compared to 834,888 passengers transported in the same domestic markets in April 2011. The ASK capacity*, grew by 22.6%.

International Market
In the January-April 2012 period, Avianca, Taca and subsidiaries transported 3,127,843 people on their international routes, 6.7% more than Q1 2011, when they transported 2,932,119 passengers to destinations abroad.
 
During the month of April, Avianca, Taca and subsidiary airlines transported 741.565 passengers on their international network, representing a 4.2% increase compared to the same month the previous year, when 711.383 passengers were flown.
